Since the implementation of Goods and Service Tax (GST) laws, the professionals dealing with accounts matter are facing lots of problems related to taxation procedures regarding production, import, and export of goods, provisions of different types of services in or outside the State, maintain record according to the utilities laid down by the department, filing numerous complicated monthly/quarterly and annual Returns and so on. Many of the professionals have raised their hands off and their normal life is badly disturbed, whereas the Accountants community is known for its hard work, diligence, and enthusiasm.
It was noticed that some of the accounts professional members have formed Associations on their respective district level, but they face difficulty to represent and approach on State and National level.
As such, considering the need of the hour, some members from different district level Associations have decided to gather on a common platform with a motive to work for the welfare of Accounts Professionals, Employees and Employers, create legal awareness and provide assistance, legal, technical and/or financial, as the case may be, to the needy members.
So, we, the members/accounts professionals from different districts, in consequence to constant meetings and discussions, have formed The Punjab Accountants Association (registered under the Registration of Societies Act, 1860) having its head-office at Jalandhar.
